Meet the Artist

Cassandra Draper

Toddlers are funny, interesting creatures… Too young to understand life’s brutal reality but totally aware of themselves and their every need. Self-absorption in its purest, most innocent form, “Who will hold me when I am scared and cold?”, “Where is my food when I am hungry?”, “Why are you going to the restroom without me!?”. As toddlers start to learn that life isn’t the warm, nutritious under-belly that mama protected them in, little personalities start to develop. Once we are forced out of our nests, we must learn to fly on our own.

Welcome to my blog, my name is Cassandra, but I go by Cassie. I was the toddler that took apart vacuum cleaners, and once the vacuum was dead, I crawled up the dog, onto the couch to grab my diaper bag and take off in search of a sneaky place to hide… My mom often reminds me of this story, because she had a feeling I was pushed out of the nest and right into the art industry. As a toddler… Can you believe it!? No…? Good, I was joking. My mom would find me, though, hiding with my bag, pulling out every diaper and wipe, humming in “perfect tune”. I think she’s biased, nonetheless, here I am, sharing my artistry in all the forms it has shaped into. I have chosen to take creative inspiration, through the camera lens; step into a blog unlike any other, a step into my mind and business, behind a camera and in front of it.
